Club President, Kees BroosHeading: Become a better speaker

We are an English-language affiliate of Toastmasters International, an organization established to help people build public speaking, communication, and leadership skills with over 200,000 members in more than 80 countries.

The structure of the meetings is ideal for improving your speaking skills.
— Kirthy Iyer

Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped millions of men and women become more confident in front of an audience. Why pay thousands of dollars for a seminar when you can join a Toastmasters club for a fraction of the cost and have fun in the process?

The aim of Toastmasters is to help men and women throughout the world learn the art of speaking, listening, thinking, and developing leadership qualities. This is achieved by using the projects in your communication and leadership manuals.

These projects give members the opportunity to: Club photo, Monika Henze applauding

  • learn and practice techniques of effective public speaking
  • prepare and deliver formal speeches on subjects of their choice
  • give impromptu talks on assigned topics
  • gain speaking experience that relates to their specific career needs
  • preside as meeting chairman
  • gain valuable leadership management experience
  • gain personal confidence that helps them, whether speaking to one person or a thousand
  • enter Toastmasters Speech Contests, possibly seeing you participate in “the World Championship of Public Speaking” in the USA.
